Just a short scenic drive up Blacksmith Fork Canyon, not far from the Providence Inn, is the Hardware Ranch Wildlife Management Area. It is open all year and is well worth visiting at any time. Of very special interest is a winter activity that you will never forget: a sleigh ride among wild elk, as many as 600 of them. For 20 minutes, a horse drawn sleigh will meander through the herd with these majestic animals just a few feet away on all sides of you. The sleigh rides cost $5.00 for an adult. If you book this package with us, for just $2.00 per person added to the price of your reservation (maximum of two per reservation), the Providence Inn will write a check for the amount of $5.00 per person to the Hardware Ranch WMA which you can take with you to purchase your sleigh ride tickets. Ticket sales for rides will close promptly at 4:30 p.m. You must have your ticket purchased and be in the sleigh line by 4:30 p.m.
